Why did you come to NKU?

The psychology department offered a learning experience that felt more personal than other universities. You could really tell that faculty wanted to be involved with the students. Faculty never seemed too busy to take time out of their schedules to help me and other students with coursework.

Describe your experiences and why it was a good idea to attend NKU:

My experiences were better than I could have expected. It was a difficult decision to move away from close friends and family; however, NKU made me feel right at home. The psychology faculty were always encouraging me and were helpful in my studies. The other graduate students were friendly and made great studying partners.

How will attending NKU help your career?

NKU helped me learn more about myself and gave me the knowledge to grow in the I/O field. Through the program I was able to gain international and real-world experience that has proven to separate me from students at other universities

Talk about how NKU's classes fit in with your schedule. Were there other responsibilities you needed to work around?

The classes fit perfectly into my schedule. I worked full-time during the weekdays, so the evening courses worked best for my workload. Even though “free-time” lost its meaning to me for around 2 years, the course load felt right for a graduate level program.

How well have you been able to interact with professors?

The psychology faculty was one of the main reasons I decided to attend NKU. They were very instrumental to my success both in and outside of the classroom.

How well have you been able to network while attending NKU?

The conference held by the I/O psychology department gave me a wonderful opportunity to meet not only other well-respected practitioners in my field, but other I/O grad students from throughout the Midwest. I was also given the chance to travel to Birmingham, Alabama to participate in an employee assessment center and take courses in London, England with other graduate students.
