People have many different reasons for deciding to become a counselor, but they all have one thing in common - a desire to help people work through life's challenges.
Clinical mental health counselors work in a variety of settings including healthcare facilities, counseling centers and areas of private practice. They provide services across a spectrum of mental and emotional disorders as well as promoting mental health and wellness.
Overall employment opportunities for counselors is expected to grow by 18% by 2018.
